as you just heard this is a podcast for small business owners who want to leave social media without losing their clients it's also a podcast for folks who want to launch a business with no social media presence,

it's definitely not a podcast for folks who are trying to get off the societal grid and live a life amidst nature,

if that's for you I love that but my punny name gave you the wrong impression and I'm so sorry this is a podcast about leaving social media.

I'm Amelia Hruby. I'm a writer speaker and founder of softer sounds podcast Studio,

I'm a Gemini Moon with a PhD in philosophy and I'm also your Intrepid host your guide and fellow Explorer in the universe of running a business without a social media presence.

I don't know about you all but I was on Instagram for over a decade and Facebook and Twitter even longer than that on this podcast I'll share my journey from my first paying gig writing Facebook posts back in 2011 to my very public exit from Instagram in 2021.

But this show isn't just about my story here I'll give you actionable ideas and advice for growing your business without social media we're going to get creative with our marketing and sales strategies and really honest about our energetic capacities.

I'm also going to have conversations with my friends and colleagues who are doing really cool things to grow their businesses offline and I'll talk to some people who have decided to stay on social media about the role it plays in their business ecosystem.

The premise of this show is that you can run an incredibly successful business without relying on social media to get new customers or clients,

how do I know that's possible well I'm doing it and I'm looking to the past and the future to see how businesses use traditional and non-traditional marketing channels to succeed.
